THIS IS A SPECIAL NOTICE PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH FEDERAL ACQUISTION REGULATION (FAR) 5.2 "SYNOPSIS OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTIONS." U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Portland District intends to negotiate/award a sole-source contract with Pacific Power Group, LLC, for Survey Vessel Redlinger MTU Engines Maintenance. SV Redlinger's home port is in Portland Oregon. The statutory authority for this non-competitive acquisition is 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source. The Survey Vessel Redlinger is equipped with two (2) MTU Series 60 Main Propulsion Engines which require annual preventative maintenance that must be performed at scheduled hourly intervals. This maintenance requires genuine MTU parts from authorized dealers. The Contractor shall furnish all management, supervision, labor, subcontracting services of manufacturer s representatives, all facilities, utilities, equipment, tools, lubricants, fuels, materials, and articles (excluding Government furnished property) necessary to fully execute the overhaul and repair of the MTU engines aboard the SV Redlinger. All work shall be completed by MTU factory authorized technicians. All parts shall be genuine MTU parts. All work on generators shall be by authorized technicians. Contractor shall provide pricing for the work to be performed at the following locations: The Portland District currently has worked with shipyards in Portland, Oregon; Seattle/Everett, Washington; Astoria, Oregon. Services to include operational maintenance support for one year after receipt of award. A SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE POSTED. The Government intends to proceed with this sole source action. The NAICS code is 336611. The size standard is 1,300 employees for the NAICS code defined by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
