From Sources Sought posted on Aug 13, 2025The Army Contracting Command-Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA) awarded an Undefinitized Contract Action (UCA) for one-time Requirements Contract for the procurement of the TAILLIGHT ASSEMBLYW to be used the Mine Resistant Ambush Protected All-Terrain Vehicle (M-ATV) Family of vehicles. This UCA award was issued on a sole source basis to BAE Systems Information & Electronics, Inc., Title 10 United States Code (U.S.C.), Section 3204(a)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements . Specifically, FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) states, "When the supplies or services required by the agency are available from only one responsible source, or, for DoD, NASA, and the Coast Guard, from only one or a limited number of responsible sources, and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, full and open competition need not be provided for . This UCA focuses on the first delivery order which has a Not-To-Exceed (NTE) value of $5,174,428.42 and authorizes the contractor to begin production of 654 each (EA) TAILLIGHT ASSEMBLYW.
