Page 2 of 2 Performance Work Statement Description of Service. Contractor to furnish all labor, transportation, materials, engineering, and equipment to perform wood & brush chipping services at North Gate RD site. The period of performance for this PWS will be August 11, 2025 through November 28, 2025. See map for outlined requirements (Appendix A). Scope of Work. Chip all brush, limbs and fallen trees to include material over 55 in diameter staged in the work site. Chipped material to be left in piles on site to be used for usable mulch. Mulch should be uniform in size with approximately 2-4 pieces to be used for landscape. The contractor shall use industry standard means to include the use of, but not limited to, heavy equipment (excavator, dozer, skid steer, trucks, woodchipper, etc.) and hand-held equipment (chain saws, grinders, handheld tools, etc.) to perform wood & brush chipping services. Equipment must be well-maintained to minimize breakdowns and delays. To be considered, Contractor must provide picture and full description of their equipment to be used for this contract. All work is to be done in a workman like manner, according to standard practices. Contractor will furnish all equipment and personnel. Work of the Contractor is to be coordinated with the onsite manager to prevent conflicts with the treatment of patients and the functioning of the facility. The contractor personnel must report to VA Maine Medical Center onsite manager prior to beginning work for each day and shall report back to onsite manager what they accomplished during the day before leaving the Medical Center grounds. Government Furnished Equipment and Property. The Government will not furnish any facilities or equipment for any work that needs to be accomplished in this Performance Work Statement. The contractor shall furnish all supplies needed to perform this contract according to all its terms. All equipment and employees will be staged in a location that does not impede traffic, construction work, nor interfere with patients or employees. Hours of Operation and Timeline: Working hours for the contractor shall normally be between the hours of 0700-1530 Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Contractor will work with VA onsite manager to provide project duration with the estimated start date and completion date.
