Summary

AI-generated · May 23, 2026

A competitive BPA Call Order is being planned under multiple-award BPAs for a Wallowa-Whitman/Umatilla Mechanical and Hand Thinning program, located at Wallowa-Whitman National Forest, Umatilla National Forest, and any other National Forest within 250 miles of either forest. The objective is to cut as much non-seed orchard tree vegetation as possible inside enclosed seed orchards to lower fire risk and reduce the spread of undesirable vegetation.

Work scope requires mowing all grass, forbs, woody vegetation smaller than 1 inch ground-line diameter, and woody debris smaller than 1 inch in maximum diameter; larger diameter shrubs and obstacles such as rocks or steep slopes may be avoided. This is not a solicitation; it is a synopsis of the intent to award a BPA Call Order, and submission of information is voluntary with no financial obligation to the government.
