The USDA FS intends on awarding a competitive BPA Call Order against multiple award schedule BPAs for Wallowa-Whitman/Umatilla Mechanical and Hand Thinning BPA at Wallowa Whitman National Forest, Umatilla National Forest and any other National Forest within 250 miles of either forest s boundaries. Parties having an interest in and the resources to support this requirement to cut as much non-seed orchard tree vegetation as possible within the enclosed seed orchards, to reduce fire risk and intensity, and to reduce the spread of undesirable vegetation.
