Summary

AI-generated · Feb 25, 2026

Remove, dispose of, and replace the existing fire detection and alarm systems at three locations (Glen Canyon Powerplant and associated facilities near Page, AZ; Carl Hayden Visitor Center; and Facility Workshop Building). Design, furnish, and install a new, integrated fire detection and alarm system, including removal of old interconnection wiring, and supply a laptop to operate and monitor the system. The new system must communicate with and be integrated into existing fire alarm panels at the Government Project Warehouse Building, Carl Hayden Visitor Center, and Facility Workshop, and a hybrid water mist fire suppression system must be installed in the powerplant computer room. The project also requires modifying 120-volt electrical distribution for the new equipment, integrating with elevators, stairwell pressurization, generator CO release, transformer deluge, and HVAC systems; and testing and commissioning all components while planning work to minimize interruptions to critical plant loads.

Respondents should demonstrate relevant experience with similar fire alarm and suppression projects, and provide a capability statement and applicable certifications (e.g., NICET, manufacturer certifications). Include the company name, U.S. entity ID, SAM.gov registration status, and overall business size; indicate a recommended NAICS code if different. This is a market-research Sources Sought notice and not a solicitation; submit responses by the stated deadline and direct any questions to the contract specialist.
