Intent to sole source: Orthotics Course for Birmingham VA Healthcare System 36C24725Q0827

An onsite, one-day Hands-on Orthotics Course for twelve therapists will be conducted at the Birmingham VA Medical Center. The course will be delivered by a single course presenter who will supply all necessary orthotics materials for the laboratory portion, including anti-claw, mallet, trigger finger, forearm-based ulnar gutter, forearm-based thumb spica, static progressive PIP flexion, and static progressive wrist extension. Participants will demonstrate the ability to fabricate custom orthoses and will review indications, contraindications, and practical applications of the orthoses.

Upon completion, each attendee will receive a certificate for 8 continuing education hours (0.8 CEUs). This is a sole-source procurement, with the presenter providing all materials and instruction for this specific group.
