Under Statutory Authority 41 U.S.C. 1901 the Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Landauer, Inc for Radiation Dosimetry for Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center (FHCC) located in North Chicago, IL. Landauer currently provides dosimetry services to the affiliate hospitals and staff that also work with FHCC and can provide METER reports for consolidated doses for employees working at all affiliated hospitals. In addition, Landauer is the only vendor that can provide Luxel+ OSL dosimetry. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Radiation Dosimetry is already in use. This request is for sustainment of an existing service. This acquisition is conducted under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 1901 Simplified acquisition procedures as implemented in FAR 13.106-3(b)(3)(i), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This will be a firm fixed price contract for a five-year ordering period with five (5) one-year priced periods. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 541380 with a business size standard of $19.0 Million. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer by 10:00 AM Local Time (Central) Monday, August 4, 2024. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. This evidence shall include a letter from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) stating vendor is an authorized service vendor per VAAR Clause 852.212-71(c). Information must be sent to the Contracting Officer, Joni Dorr, joni.dorr@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated, however a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
