AWARD NOTICE FOR (A-E) TITLE II SERVICES TO THE DESIGNER OF RECORD, KENNETH HAHN, ARCHITECTS INC. FOR MILITARY WORKING DOG KENNEL, McCONNELL AFB, KS. 195777

In accordance with the criteria set forth in the special notice of intent, 195777, issued 14 February 2025, per U.S.C.3204(a)(1) as defined by FAR 6.302-1, 22d Contracting Squadron (22 CONS), has determined that the Designer of record (DOR), Kenneth Hahn, Architects, Inc. is the only source to satisfy the Government’s requirement, for Post Award Construction A-E Title II inspection services in support of the construction Project 195777, Construct Military Working Dog (MWD) Kennel located at McConnell AFB, KS. As DOR, Kenneth Hahn, Architect Inc. has knowledge of the design which allows for a uniquely efficient ability to provide the Government support in responding to requests for information, clarification of design criteria, review of submittal documents, and oversight of on-site construction adherence to the design. This efficiency in their ability to respond to aspects of the design provides valuable savings in time and cost to the Government. Award to any other Architect-Engineer source is not a viable option/alternative since the Air force has invested in DOR liability for design. As a result, 22d CONS awarded a one (1) year firm-fixed price contract award in the amount not to exceed (NTE) $90, 666. 84 to the DOR, Kenneth Hahn, Architects, Inc. of Omaha, NE.
