These devices require that the patient remains completely still during the measurements and provides a single blood pressure value that requires 30-45 seconds per assessment. The Finapres NOVA is a clinical grade, non-invasive, continuous blood pressure monitor for accurate measurement of blood pressure that is determined with every heartbeat. Using proprietary technology, this device also estimates physiologic parameters such as: cardiac output, stroke volume, cardiac contractility, left ventricular ejection time, and total peripheral resistance.
