NOTICE OF INTENT TO SINGLE SOURCE The 502d Contracting Squadron, Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA)-Randolph, Texas, intends to award a single source purchase order to Kalahari Resort & Convention Center 3100 Kalahari Blvd, Round Rock, TX 78665, for the purchase of a 2-night, 3-day family retreat for families. The event is scheduled for March 13-15, 2026, in Round Rock, Texas hosting the 59th Medical Wing's True North Chaplain and Religious Support Team (RST). The Family Retreat is intended a form of ministry, the True North RST Chaplain Corps offers these retreats to actively support active duty, reserve members, and their dependents. By holding the events at commercial facilities, the program removes participants from the daily pressures of life, creating an environment focused on personal and spiritual growth. The objective is to enhance guests' mental toughness, spiritual maturity, and sense of responsibility, empowering them to resolve personal and professional challenges and become more effective in their military roles and relationships. The facility is required to be no more than a two-hour drive from JBSA, Texas. Additionally, the resort must feature a range of onsite amenities and activities, including but not limited to rock climbing, a water park, bowling, conference facilities, and various dining options. This proposed contract action falls under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, which allows for solicitation and negotiation with the Kalahari Resort & Convention Center. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Responses will be used to determine if there are other entities that can meet the requirement for future retreats. The 59th Medical Wing True North Religious Support Team (RST) in San Antonio, Texas has a requirement for non-personal services as described in this PWS. This a requirement for a 2-night, 3-day family retreat on the dates of 13-15 March 2026. During the retreat the chaplain shall provide training each day for the couples on developing strong relationships. This training shall be conducted in the conference rooms and shall include topics on spiritual and emotional connection, trust, and communication.
