RFI Q&A response Q1: After reviewing this requirement with our subcontractor, we received the following clarification from them: "If the trucks ran consecutively, they could all dump in sequence, allowing the refuge staff time to work the material before the trucks returned for their second and third trips. The total daily tonnage can be adjusted to suit your needs by increasing or decreasing the number of trucks. We anticipate approximately 800-1,000 tons per shift. The material would be delivered using belly dump trains, leaving a window for the refuge staff to spread. We would revise the proposal to include minimum truck spacing. However, doing so would limit roughly half the trucks to only two loads per day, increasing the cost per ton. Based on this scenario and eight trucks per day, spacing would be approximately 15-30 minutes between loads, followed by about 1.25 hours of downtime between the last truck in the first rotation and the first truck returning for the second rotation. This would result in approximately 800 tons per shift."
