Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. Companies who are not currently approved sources for the solicited item and are interested in doing business with NAVSUP can express their interest by completing a Vendor Interest Form at the NAVSUP Business Opportunities web portal at https://www.navsup.navy.mil/Business-Opportunities/Home/. The award action for the current solicited requirement will not be held up for attaining approval of an offeror that is not currently approved by the government for this item.
