AI-generated · Aug 24, 2025

Install Devices for Legionella Control and Prevention in a hospital water distribution system. Follow the design drawings and specs to install new hub joints, hangers, perform leak testing, and add pipe connections as needed to upgrade an antiquated system. Some work occurs in interstitial spaces and requires an interstitial permit from VA Safety Services; interstitial work must comply with VA Policy Memorandum 007-15-04. A platform is recommended due to dead ends in the work area. Contractor responsibilities include debris haul-off, returning recycled material to the COR, and removing the dumpster when full; demolition requires backfilling and restoring disturbed areas with the original materials to a reclaimed/established condition acceptable to VA. Deliverables include as-built drawings, and all work must comply with VA specifications, NEC, NFPA, applicable codes, and OSHA standards. A site visit is recommended to confirm measurements and conditions.

Procurement will be via a combined synopsis/solicitation for a construction project; the contractor must provide supervision, labor, equipment, training, materials, supplies, and incidentals. An RFP will be issued and a site visit will be scheduled before the closing; the solicitation will publish details for the site visit sign-in. An amendment has published RFIs and the site visit sign-in sheet. The project is estimated in the $2–5 million range.
