Place of Performance: Cowpens National Battlefield Congaree National Park Place of Performance Address: 4001 Chesnee Highway Gaffney, SC, within Cherokee County NAICS Code: 226220; Commercial and Institutional Building Construction PSC Code: Z2AZ; Repair or Alteration of Other Administrative Facility Estimated Cost Range: This projects magnitude is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00 Estimated Period of Performance: 4 August 2025 to 3 August 2026 Project Description (Scope); The primary objective of the project is to install a new drainage system for the park visitor center to correct issues from pooling water and water infiltration. The 7,000 SF visitor center was constructed in the early 1980¿s and has two floors consisting of the main visitation area on the ground level and a basement area of approximately 1,200 SF which is utilized for office space, collections storage, a common kitchen/breakroom, IT equipment, fire suppression, and other administrative functions. The facility was constructed with gutters and a sub-surface drainage system that has reached the end of its service life and is failing. Water frequently pools at points around the building exterior and there is evidence of water penetration on the basement walls. Several areas immediately adjacent to the visitor center are poorly graded or have been subjected to fluctuations in grade from tree roots. This requirement involves performing work as defined in the Statement of Work when the solicitation is issued. Detailed requirements and/or specifications will be listed within the solicitation and other attachments as required. A Firm Fixed Price award is contemplated from this solicitation with an award to the offeror(s) providing the best value, based on the evaluation criteria outlined in the solicitation once issued.
