SOURCES SOUGHT (MARKET SURVEY): The National Park Service (NPS) is conducting a market survey to determine the interest and capability of contractors for a possible upcoming project. All costs associated with providing information in response to this market survey shall be the responsibility of the firm. Any information submitted is voluntary. The Contracting Officer will make an acquisition strategy determination based on the results of this market survey. Prime contractors interested in working at Zion National Park, work will consist of: The Work includes but is not limited to partial removal and disposal of an existing concrete dam and headgate structure comprised of concrete, rock, rebar, regrading of the North Fork Virgin River for a distance of approximately 300 feet, construction of a new intake structure including a fish screen, removal and disposal of approximately 275 of existing CMP pipe and concrete manhole, installation of approximately 285 of 18 ADS N-12 pipe (approximately 40 to be placed within 24 CMP pipe), removal of a concrete turnout box, reseating of an existing 12 flume, approximately 150 feet of boulder embankment rip rap and (Option 1) installation of approximately 350 of smart ditch. The NAICS code for this project is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, with a small business size standard of $45M. The Magnitude of Construction anticipated is between $1M and $5M. Interested contractors should also consider their construction bonding capacities when responding. Contractor must be registered as a small business under the listed socio-economic categories in SAM (System for Award Management) under NAICS code 237990 to be considered/confirmed. This market research is being conducted to acquire additional information about potential contractors that may be interested in performing this work. Construction Wage Rate Requirements for Washington County, UT will apply. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) CODE CLASSIFICATION and SET ASIDE: The NAICS Code is 237990, and the size standard is $45 million. This project is set aside 100% for Total Small Businesses. SITE VISIT: A site visit date, time, and meeting location will be announced in the solicitation. Offerors are highly encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit to inspect the site and to ensure they fully understand the requirement and conditions that may affect the cost of the project, specifications, and performance.
