This project is classified under NAICS Code 238220 and has a size standard of $19 Million. The Magnitude of Construction for this project is between $2,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Scope of Work: The scope of work shall generally consist of, but not limited to the following: The contractor will furnish all materials, equipment, supervision, and personnel necessary to accomplish the job to modernize and replace all 4 pipe fan coil units located in Building-18. The new system and components will meet all the requirements for the latest edition of the VA Design Guide for Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning manual. Temperature environmental control will conform to ASHRAE 90.1 standards. System upgrades will comply with Legionella prevention requirements. Field survey(s) will identify deficiencies such as heating elements not on emergency power and stuck valves which will be incorporated into the design for correction and/or replacement Work shall include, but not limited to the following tasks: Construction: The replacement of the building 18 2 pipe Fan Coil units with a 4 pipe Fan Coil System to be used for bidding purposes. The new Fan Coils Units are to be operational as a 2 pipe or 4 pipe Fan Coil system depending on the availability of chilled water. The existing Building 18 dental suite already has a 4 pipe Fan Coil system recently installed that does not need replacement. The Construction is to include considerations and the addition of a chiller room including the new devices i.e. chillers, cooling towers, MCC unit, pipe system and pumps . Project Completion: 400 Calendar Days from Notice to Proceed (NTP). All other details and information shall be contained in the solicitation which shall be posted on www.sam.gov. The solicitation will be released on or about October 16, 2025. The response submittal address, date and time will be included in the solicitation. This project requires bonding and all responses/submissions to the solicitation to be posted later shall be emailed. No hand-carried bids will be accepted. All prospective bidders must be currently registered in www.sam.gov , www.dnb.com (Duns and Bradstreet )and be registered and verified as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) in https://search.certifications.sba.gov/ at the time of offer submission and before award of this procurement.
