Project Narrative/Summary:Location.The W.D. Mayo Lock and Dam 14 project is a component of the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System (MKARNS) which crosses the state of Arkansas into Oklahoma traversing the state until it reaches the confluence of the Arkansas and Verdigris River where the navigation channel follows the Verdigris River terminating fifty-one miles upstream at the Port of Catoosa, near Tulsa, Oklahoma. The work is located at the navigation mile 319.6 in the southern Oklahoma about nine (9) miles southwest of Fort Smith, Arkansas, approximately as indicated. The exact location will be shown by the Contracting Officer.Scope.The Contractor shall repair Tainter Gates and associated items including all related incidental work at W.D. Mayo Dam, Oklahoma. This project will be a total turn-key contract with all work being performed by the Contractor except setting of the stoplogs. Detailed requirements of the work to be performed by the Contractor will be provided in the specifications sections, drawings, contract clauses, and other contract. The Government will provide no materials, equipment, or labor except setting of the stoplogs.
