SCOPE OF WORK The Department of Veterans Affairs, Durham VA Health Care System (VAHCS) has need of a contractor to provide rental equipment for the REVEAL and automated system that uses an array of sensors to detect volatile organic compounds emitted by growing bacteria for the in vitro diagnostic quantitative and qualitative determination of antimicrobial susceptibility. The equipment shall meet or exceed the description(s) listed. The contractor is responsible to furnish all equipment, necessary labor, materials, supplies, equipment, and transportation to provide the rental and delivery of the Reveal System. 2. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE The expected award will be a firm-fixed-price contract. The base period of performance will be for the period of one year, with four (4) option periods. All option years are not guaranteed but are renewable in four (4) one-year periods, pending availability of funding, No Service shall be performed under this contract after the end of the contract period. 3. EQUIPMENT SPECIFICATIONS The instrument specifications are as follows: Width: 16.7 in, Height: 7.9 in, Depth: 29.9 in, and Weight of 65 lbs. Also included is the sealer which has the following specifications: Width: 10 in, Height: 17.3 in, Depth: 21.5 in, and Weight of 75 lbs. The software included has one display for the graphical user interface and input modes of keyboard, touch screen, mouse, and barcode reader.
