This Request for Information (RFI) initiates market research under Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 10.002(b)(2)(iii). This is not a Request for Proposals. No final solicitation documents exist at this time. This RFI does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that the Government will take procurement action in this matter. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in furnishing this information. Description Product Manager, Engineer Systems (PdM ES), Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), is conducting market research for potential sources to purchase Vibratory Compactors. Compaction equipment is required by ground and aviation units to support various types of horizontal construction. Examples are construction of roads, airfield complexes, dams, open storage areas, hard stands for vehicle and equipment parks; repair of bomb damage on airfields; and compaction of building sites.
