The Government requires a contract for ambulance services. The services are to be all-inclusive to include medical equipment necessary for the transportation of Veterans of the James E. Van Zandt, Altoona VA Medical Center (Altoona VAMC). The use of James E. Van Zandt, Altoona VAMC throughout this document shall be interpreted as the Altoona VA Medical Center. The Contractor shall be state certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and Human Service and Bureau of Emergency Medical Services. Altoona VAMC consists of one main campus/location: James E. Van Zandt, Altoona VA Medical Center, 2907 Pleasant Valley Blvd. Altoona, PA., 16602, which includes but is not limited to, a medical center, behavioral health, and Urgent Care Center (UCC). The hours of operation for the Medical Center are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with no weekend or holiday access. The Contractor shall provide ambulance coverage for the Altoona VAMC, Urgent Care Center 24 hours per day/7 days per week, 365 days per year.
