The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) anticipates issuance of solicitation 15BFA025B00000043 for the award of a firm-fixed-price construction contract for a project titled SHU/GHU Roof Replacement at the United States Penitentiary (USP) located in Pennignton Gap, VA. USP Lee is a federal correctional facility located at Hickory Flats Road, Pennington Gap, VA 24277. The work to be performed in association with this project includes the following scope: SHU/GHU Roof Replacement The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment for the SHU/GHU Roof Replacement at USP Lee. The work includes, but is not limited to replacement of the Special Housing Unit (SHU) (approximately 16,418 square feet) and the General Housing Unit (GHU) (approximately 25,000 square feet). The Statement of Work attachment included with the solicitation will provide complete requirements for the project. The solicitation will be posted at a later date. Any secure/locked documents uploaded with the solicitation will require an active vendor registration at https://SAM.gov as well as your Marketing Partner Identification Number (MPIN) associated with your SAM registration. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project lies between $1,000,000 - $5,000,000. In order to qualify for award, your business size metrics information entered in your SAM registration must be less than or equal to the size standard specified above (see provision 52.219-1 in the Representations & Certifications section of your registration and view the table therein listing NAICS codes and your indicated business size relative to the assigned NAICS code above). Each bidder's SAM registration will be reviewed by the Government to confirm that your business size meets the small business size standard requirement. All bidders are urged to double check their SAM registration and update as necessary, including the size metrics information.
