Summary

AI-generated · Jan 03, 2026

On-site OEM technical support from Nacos Marine is requested to diagnose and repair the Dynamic Positioning System (DPS) on CGC Maria Bray. The DPS is essential for holding the cutter on station during aids-to-navigation operations and provides autopilot functionality during transits by integrating multiple navigation sensor inputs to adjust shaft speed and bow/stern thrusters. Without a properly functioning DPS, the cutter cannot safely perform its required missions.

The objective is to restore full DPS functionality to enable the unit to conduct Southeast District aids-to-navigation and other operational duties. A single Nacos Marine technician will travel to the cutter’s homeport in Atlantic Beach, Florida, to observe current DPS operation and perform software or hardware changes/updates necessary to return the system to SAT operation.
