On-site OEM technical support is required for the MPCMS (Machinery Plant Control & Monitoring System) on CGC HARRY CLAIBORNE. The MPCMS, which manages propulsion control and monitoring for main diesel engines, shaft speed, and bow/stern thrusters, is not functioning as intended; cutter technicians have exhausted phone support. A technician will be deployed on-site to observe current MPCMS operation and perform software or hardware changes needed to restore SAT operation.

The assignment calls for one technician to travel to the cutter’s homeport in Galveston, Texas, to conduct hands-on diagnostics and implement updates to bring the system back to full functionality. This support enables the unit to perform operational missions related to aids to navigation and other Heartland District operations.
