Disconnect and inspect the following bow thruster components for damage, wear, and reuse suitability and submit a CFR: Gear case Propeller shaft bearing Propeller shaft 3.3.2 Government s right for change out. The Contractor must be aware that the Government reserves the right to furnish a new propeller shaft for installation in place of the existing propeller shaft. If the Government exercises this right, the Contractor must return the removed propeller shaft to the Coast Guard PE as an MTI item. 3.5 Assembly. The Contractor must replace Propeller shaft with replacement that will be provided, in procure or fabricate the associated hardware to attach the propeller to the shaft.
