THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The Government hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source firm fixed price award for Dual Receiver Upgrade - KFRA-C Receivers to MCR2 Receivers for US Coast Guard Base Kodiak, Kodiak Alaska. The vendor will be KINGFISHER COMPANY INC, 81 OLD FERRY ROAD, LOWELL, MA 01854 UEI: PXCQY2WLFRQ3. This action is being awarded on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source will satisfy agency requirements. Currently, KINGFISHER COMPANY INC has unique knowledge of the infrastructure and equipment currently in place requiring upgraded versions. Kingfisher company holds proprietary knowledge of said equipment. USCG Base Kodiak, Kodiak AK 99619 will be the procuring entity for this effort. Performance will be located at Kodiak, AK 99619. The Government intends to acquire commercial items and services using the provisions, clauses, and procedures prescribed in FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 334290. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 12 Sep 2025, at 2:00 p.m., Alaska time. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
