The contracting office for this notice is the 10th Contracting Squadron, USAF Academy, CO 80840. The United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) intends to award a firm-fixed-price single source award to Stratasys, Inc, a large business located at 7665 Commerce Way, Eden Prairie, Minnesota 55344, United States. This procurement is for the acquisition of a commercial item using simplified acquisition procedures IAW FAR parts 12 and 13. The authority for this non-competitive award is FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one source reasonably available. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) number for this acquisition is 334517, Machine Tool Manufacturing, with a business size standard of 500 employees. USAFA intends to acquire the following replacement parts and services to repair the Fortus 450mc printer: CS, MIO BOARD 450MC (part number 109262-CS04, quantity 1) CS, SSC BOARD (part number 206542-CS03, quantity 1) Installation and repair services Stratasys, Inc has confirmed to the contract specialist over a phone call on 2 Jul 2025 that the vendor does not use authorized resellers or contractors for their Fortus line of printers, and that they would be the sole provider of parts, services, and materials for the Fortus 450mc. The vendor has also provided a sole-source-letter explaining this position. This information was then further confirmed via an email on 3 Jul 2025. As such, to restore the Fortus 450mc printer to full functionality within the original manufacturer s specifications and warranty compliance, Stratasys, Inc is the sole provider of the parts and services necessary to fulfill the Government s requirement. Information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement in the future is in the best interest of the Government. All information submitted should support the offeror's capability to provide the supplies required and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses must be in writing and must provide clear and concise documentation indicating any offeror's capability to provide these supplies. Responses and questions shall be received via email by john.perry.33@us.af.mil NLT 15 Jul 2025 at 1000 MDT. 5352.201-9101 Ombudsman (a) An ombudsman has been appointed to hear and facilitate the resolution of concerns from offerors, potential offerors, and others for this acquisition. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The existence of the ombudsman does not affect the authority of the program manager, contracting officer, or source selection official. Further, the ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals, the source selection process, or the adjudication of protests or formal contract disputes. The ombudsman may refer the interested party to another official who can resolve the concern.
