The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, intends to procure one (1) Trimble X9 LiDAR Scanner, including accessories and supporting software. The Trimble X9 is a state-of-the-art terrestrial LiDAR system designed for high-precision 3D scanning and geospatial data collection. This equipment will be used by the Geospatial Section to collect field data that generates LiDAR point clouds?three-dimensional datasets essential for drafting, modeling, and design across multiple engineering disciplines within the District.Trimble is the sole manufacturer of the survey equipment and software currently in use by the Geospatial Section at the Pittsburgh District, as well as most other districts within the Great Lakes and Ohio River Division (LRD) and across the USACE enterprise. Procuring the Trimble X9 ensures full compatibility with existing hardware, software, workflows, and data standards, thereby maintaining consistency and interoperability throughout the organization.This acquisition will modernize the land survey program by increasing the efficiency of LiDAR data collection and enabling the retirement of obsolete equipment.
