SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS The DLA AVIATION is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support this requirement for NSN 1560-01-513-1999: TIP, AIRCRAFT. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 336413. THERE IS NO POSTED SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. Generally, this entails the procurement/manufacture of component parts, inspection, testing, preservation/packaging, and shipping. Additionally, potential sources may be responsible for supply chain management, logistics planning, forecasting production requirements, long-lead time parts procurement, diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortage issues, and shipping serviceable assets. An Unrestricted solicitation will be issued to establish an Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC) for NSN 1560-01-513-1999, a TIP, AIRCRAFT. The award will be for a 5-year base period. The Estimated Annual Quantity (EAQ) is 80 EACH. Production units will be FOB: Destination; Inspection /Acceptance: Destination. Item is critical, but not deemed a Critical Safety Item. Surge does not apply. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. The OEM is Northrup Grumman (CAGE 79RG9) p/n 123GSR936-11. Approved source is Cherokee Nation Aerospace & Defense LLC (CAGE 82ML8). DLA Aviation does NOT possess technical data on this part.
