Summary

AI-generated · Jun 13, 2026

Crown-touch release (crop tree release) services are required on roughly 100–224 acres in the Clinch Ranger District, George Washington & Jefferson National Forests, Scott County, VA. The contractor must supply all labor, equipment, supervision, tools, and incidentals to perform four-sided crown-touch release to achieve a free-to-grow rating of 4, with trees to be released and those not to be cut defined by species group. Hazard ribbons are required for unsafe-to-fell trees, and all slash must be removed from road prisms with no piling or windrowing. No site visit is scheduled, but access can be coordinated with the COR; final acreage will be determined by FS Two Trails mapping in July–August 2026, and work must comply with the attached SOW and SF-18 package.

Award will be made on a best-value tradeoff basis, potentially reducing acreage to the highest-rated offeror. Quotations must be submitted on the SF-18 package and include DUNS/UEI and SAM registration confirmation, a technical capability narrative aligned to the evaluation criteria, past performance contacts, price per acre and total price, and acknowledgment of all attachments. Submittals will be evaluated on previous silvicultural/Timber Stand Improvement experience, knowledge of Southern Appalachian tree species, past COR evaluations, contractor performance, and price. No site visit is required, but access may be coordinated with the COR.
