Respondents are further requested to indicate their status as a foreign-owned/foreign-controlled firm and any contemplated use of foreign national employees on this effort. This proposed action is for the acquisition of one (1) TESCAN Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) Service Maintenance Agreement for Wright Patterson Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) located at 2950 Hobson Way Wright-Patterson AFB Ohio 45433. It was determined that TESCAN USA, Inc., can meet the Government s specifications in the attached Performance Work Statement (PWS). The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), resulting in a Firm-Fixed-Price contract. The proposed procurement will be a Sole Source under North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code # 811210 Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance, with a small business size standard of 34 million dollars. The proposed source TESCAN USA, Inc., located at 765 Commonwealth Dr. STE 101 Warrendale, PA 15086-7620 is the only vendor capable of fulfilling the requirements outlined in the PWS.
