Description: The T-6 Flightline shacks serve as an essential part of maintenance operations for the T-6 Texan II, the initial aircraft that student pilots learn to fly during Undergraduate Pilot Training (UPT). These buildings are required for shift changes, restroom accommodations, maintenance briefings, and supervisory administrative work for maintainers. They also serve as break areas between aircraft maintenance operations. These T-6 Flightline Shacks, Buildings 247, 628, 629, and 633, have become extremely dilapidated; HVAC is ineffective, the plumbing systems and associated fixtures are aged, the electrical systems require upgrades, and the interior finishes are extremely run down with peeling paint, aged doors, and damaged ceiling panels. If you do not contact the POC by 1:00 PM CST on 26 May 2026, you will not be able to attend the site visit. Identification: All attendees must bring a valid photo ID. Vehicle Requirements: If driving on base, please ensure the driver has driver's license, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance. IMPORTANT: All contractors should arrive at Columbus AFB s Visitors Center early and wait for a 14th Contracting Squadron representative to arrive and lead them to the site visit location. The representative will leave the visitors center at 9:00 AM CST Additional Info: All RFIs must be submitted NLT 7:30 AM CST, on 08 June 2026.
