Synopsis of Sole Source Contract Action - MAPS GEN II Connectors and Cabling W56KGY-25-MPNT-0004

The Government intends to award a supply contract on a sole source basis for the procurement of procurement of Connectors and Cables in support of A-kit production for the Mounted Assured Positioning, Navigation, and Timing System (MAPS) GEN II integration into Army mounted platforms. The connectors and cabling are required to connect to the MAPS GEN II system and transfer data to various clients on US Army vehicle and weapons system platforms. The connectors and cabling being procured are to support MAPS GEN II integration activities for the following US army platforms: M1 Abrams Main Battle Tank M2 Bradley Fighting Vehicle M113 Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle Family of Vehicles The detailed specifications for the connectors required to support this requirement are outlined below: Connection & Cable Types: Please see the attachment for drawings Push-Pull Plugs: 24-contact, pre-populated wires terminating in cut wires (2-12ft in length). Dimensions, (in mm), Keying, and Pinning are outlined below: Wire Harness Assemblies: with 24-contact, 8mm push-pull connectors integrated into a harness with 1 or more D38999/26KB35PA compatible 13-pin circular connectors. Stainless steel, passivated finish. Dimensions, (in mm), Keying, and Pinning are outlined below: 11mm Push-Pull Plugs: 19-contact, connector plugs. Dimensions, (in mm), Keying, and Pinning are outlined below: Common Specifications (All Cable Types - CBL-000-237): Construction: Polyurethane (PU) jacketed cable. Conductors: 4 x 24 AWG, 10 pairs x 30 AWG with FEP insulation. Shielding: Braided and foil shielding for EMI/RFI protection. Connectors: Brass body (Anthracite Mat/Shiny or Black Mat finish), PEEK insulation, Push-Pull locking. Solder or Crimp termination. Sealing: IP68 - Dust and water resistant. Performance: Electrical: 100% tested for continuity and shorts. Environmental: 24hr immersion to 2m, vibration (10,000 cycles), 300g shock (3ms), 1000hr salt spray. Temperature: -55C to 135C. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source, Fischer Connectors, 1735 Founders PKWY STE 100, Alpharetta, GA, 30009 under the authority FAR 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Products and Commercial Services as implemented through FAR 13.501 Special Documentation Requirements. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. However, a determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this synopsis is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis is to give notice of the Government's intent to award a sole source contract. Contractors who can provide the U.S Army with the required supplies, are invited to electronically submit an affirmative, written response indicating a bona fide ability to meet this specific requirement. Responses should appear on company letterhead and include, at minimum, affirmation of active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM), your Unique Entity ID (UEI) number, any applicable processed credentials and qualifications, and any applicable information. All responses should include a point of contact, telephone number, and electronic mail address. Additionally, respondents should indicate whether they are a large business, small business, small disadvantaged business, 8(a) concern, women-owned small business, HUBZone, service-disabled veteran-owned small business or qualify as socially or economically disadvantaged and whether they are U.S. or foreign owned. Responses to this notice will be used to determine the availability of these supplies. All responsible sources may respond to this synopsis.
