Summary

AI-generated · Aug 24, 2025

A sole-source contract modification will be issued to The Boeing Company for FY26 P-8A Poseidon Deployment Mechanism Kits, including support tasks such as disassembly, inspection, cleaning, assembly, and testing of P-8A parts like actuators, fairings, and electrical and fiber harnesses. Five Deployment Mechanism Kits are planned in the base year, with options for one additional Deployment Mechanism Kit, one Mechanism Test Stand, and one Mechanism Repair Manual. Deliveries are expected 21 months after award.

The procurement is being conducted under a justification for other than full and open competition (10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), FAR 6.302-1) because Boeing is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer with the necessary knowledge and technical data. Subcontracting opportunities should be pursued directly with Boeing.
