NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. This is a notice of intent to solicit and award a sole source purchase order in accordance with (IAW) FAR 13.501(a) Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items. Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk (FLCN) intends to solicit and award a sole source purchase order for Surface Velocity Profile Drifter System (Ice Ball) Buoys by Pacific Gyre. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the agency. The required delivery date is 90 days after contract awarded. This notice of intent is NOT a request for quotations. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
