Summary

AI-generated · Aug 24, 2025

Establish an Indefinite Quantity Contract to acquire a CH-53 helicopter support assembly (NSN 1650-01-129-3665) with a five-year base period and an estimated 80 units per year. Production units will be FOB Destination with Inspection and Acceptance at Origin. The item is critical but not a Critical Safety Item; Contractor First Article Testing, Contractor Production Lot Testing, and Export Control apply. Surge is not applicable. Because the Government may negotiate with only one or a limited number of sources, DLA Aviation does not possess technical data on this part and approved sources are Apex Mfg. Co. and Airtronics, LLC, with Sikorsky as the OEM. Any other potential supplier would need to submit a Source Approval Request to be added as a source by the assigned ESA.

Contract requirements include potential reverse auction (Procurement Note L09) and a procurement process that may or may not be competitive depending on responses. Interested parties should identify capability to respond within 15 days if proposing a commercial item, and within 45 days for proposals on the described supplies. All awardees must be registered in SAM. The final award may consider price, past performance, and other factors. The solicitation will be posted on DIBBS; RFPs are PDFs to download with the latest Adobe Reader. A paper copy will not be available.
