Summary

AI-generated · Aug 23, 2025

Repair of the roof on Building 26 at Stratton Air National Guard Base is out for competitive quotes. Quotes must be submitted by email, with evaluation criteria and site-visit details documented in the solicitation (see page 7 for specifics). A government-provided site visit was conducted, and questions and answers from that session are referenced in the amendment.

Amendment 1 (July 7, 2025) updates the wage determination to modification 9 (dated 06/20/2025) and revises the SOW to require a 30-year manufacturer warranty for the Building 26 Section A roof membrane and a 2-year installation warranty. The site-visit Q&A clarifies responsibilities: base personnel will disconnect the electricity to the recovery unit, while the contractor is responsible for removing/hoisting the unit. For split-unit condensate lines, the contractor may temporarily disconnect the unit at their labor cost, and past projects have often replaced the roof beneath the units without disconnecting them; the contractor may choose how to address the roof replacement under the split units.

Email quotes directly to 109.AW.FAL.MSC.CONTRACTING@US.AF.MIL See page 7 of the solicitation for evaluation and site visit details.

Email quotes directly to 109.AW.FAL.MSC.CONTRACTING@US.AF.MIL See page 7 of the solicitation for evaluation and site visit details. Amendment 1, 7 July 2025 - The purpose of this amendment is to: 1) Update Wage Determination NY20250002 to modification 9, dated 06/20/2025. 2) Revise the Statement of Work (SOW) to state that the Building 26 Section A roof membrane manufacturer warranty shall be 30 years, and the installation warranty shall be 2 years. 3) Answer questions resulting from the Government provided site visit held on 01 July 2025 @ 1000. Question 1: Whose responsibility is to disconnect and hoist the recovery unit? Answer 1: Base personnel will disconnect the electricity to the unit. Contractor is responsible of removing/hoisting the unit out. Question 2: Split units have a copper condensate line attached. Who is responsible of disconnecting the units? Answer 2: Should contractor decide to temporarily disconnect the unit, contractor is responsible of the labor. In the past similar projects, contractors managed to replace the roof under the units without the need to disconnect them. Contractor has the freedom to decide how they would like to address the replacement of the roof under the split units.
