A 4" x 4" sample of steel to be cut from any of the four comers of each piece is acceptable to conduct testing. D. Tensile and hardness testing must meet minimums described in ASTM A 709 Table 1 for HPS70W E. The plate is a tension component of a member that requires fracture control practice. Impact test the plate in accordance with A673/A673M. Results must meet the requirements of ASTM A709 Table 12 for Zone 3 for HPS 70WF. F. Chemical Requirements must conform to ASTM A709 Table 7 for HPS 70W. G. Must conform to Buy American Act. H. Final product shall be clean and free of any oil or grease, dross, slag or burrs.
