This Notice is for planning purposes only and is not a Request for Proposal or Request for Quotation or an obligation on the part of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for conducting a follow-on acquisition. NIST does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this Notice, or otherwise pay for the information requested. No entitlement or payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by NIST will arise as a result of submission of responses to this Notice and NIST use of such information. NIST is seeking information on contractors who can potentially provide the following: Stable bipolar power supply for an electromagnet with the following specifications: Input voltage: 180-264 VAC/60 Hz Maximum Output Voltage: 20 V Maximum Output Current: 100 A Maximum Output Power: 1.5 kW Control Mode: Constant Current (CC), Constant Voltage (CV), Constant Power (CP), and Constant Resistance (CR) Current Setting Resolution: 24 bit Voltage Setting Resolution: 24 bit Switching Frequency: 400 kHz Output Accuracy (CC): < 0.01 % Temperature Stability (CC): < 2 ppm / K Long Term Stability (CC): < 0.001 % full scale over 8 hours Control/Communication Interface: 10/100/1000 Mbit Ethernet TCP-IP and UDP 2x Fast SFP ports plus Local Control through display with multi-function navigation switch Operating Temperature: 0 C - 50 C Two (2) sets of manuals for the bipolar power supply that cover the proper operation, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting for the instrument and controlling software. (The manual may be supplied in hard copy or electronic format (or both).) All cables, hoses, and/or connectors necessary for the operation/use of the power supply, including (but not limited to) a power cord to plug into the wall. Interested parties shall describe all relevant capabilities of their organization. NIST anticipates issuing a Request for Quotation in the fourth quarter of FY2025 and awarding a contract no later than the fourth quarter of FY2025. NIST is seeking responses from all responsible sources, including large and small businesses. The small business size standard associated with the NAICS code for this effort, 335311, is 800 employees. Please include your company s size classification and socio-economic status in any response to this notice. After results of this market research are obtained and analyzed, NIST may conduct a competitive procurement and subsequently award a contract. Indication of whether the services described in this notice are currently offered via your company s GSA Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) contracts, Government-wide Acquisition Contracts (GWACs), or other existing Government-wide contract vehicles; and, if so, the contract number(s) for those vehicles. Any other relevant information that is not listed above which the Government should consider in finalizing its market research. Responses are limited to a total of twenty (20) pages of US Letter size (8-inch x 11-inch). The responses must be in either Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF format.
