Summary

AI-generated · Aug 27, 2025

Stable bipolar power supply for an electromagnet must accept 180-264 VAC, 60 Hz input and deliver up to 20 V, 100 A (1.5 kW) in multiple control modes (constant current, constant voltage, constant power, and constant resistance). It requires 24-bit resolution for voltage and current settings, a 400 kHz switching frequency, and output accuracy under 0.01% in CC mode with temperature stability under 2 ppm/K and long-term stability under 0.001% full scale over 8 hours. The unit should support Ethernet TCP/IP and UDP control with two Fast SFP ports plus local control via a display and navigation switch, operate in 0–50 C, and include two manuals covering operation, maintenance, and software. It must also include all cables, hoses, and connectors needed (including a power cord).

NIST is seeking market information to plan a potential competitive procurement (RFQ anticipated in Q4 FY2025 with award by the same quarter). Respondents should describe capabilities, company size and socio-economic status, SAM UEI, CAGE code, and points of contact, plus relevant past experience and whether the offering is available under any government contracts (GSA FSS, GWACs, etc.). Submissions are limited to 20 pages (Word or PDF) and should be emailed to erik.frycklund@nist.gov by the specified response date.
