Summary

AI-generated · Sep 03, 2025

A market survey to determine if a reasonable number of qualified small businesses (SB, HUBZone, 8A, Woman-Owned Small Business, or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned) are prepared to bid on a future contract for nationwide heavy metal sampling at multiple installations across the country, to protect human health from lead contamination suspected at facilities with indoor firing ranges, weapon storage, and maintenance activities. The contractor would provide all required services, materials, labor, travel, and management to conduct heavy metal wipe sampling and related work in accordance with engineering, safety, and environmental standards, with an emphasis on timeliness and cost containment. The anticipated contract duration is about 1,095 days under the Environmental Remediation Services category.

Responses should include the firm’s small-business status, Unique Identifier Number, and CAGE codes, plus descriptions of up to three example projects where the firm acted as the prime contractor. Each project should cover scope, size, contract value, current completion percentage and completion date, number of subcontractors, and a reference contact. Projects should be similar in scope (heavy metal wipe sampling to determine interior contamination reaching action levels of 10 g/sf or less) and/or similar in size (concurrent indoor sampling at 90+ geographically dispersed properties/buildings). Include how much work would be self-performed (the 15% minimum self-performance requirement under FAR 52.219-14) and how this will be accomplished. Submittals are limited to eight pages and are not a bid or commitment; responses will be used to inform future solicitations. Submit to the designated point of contact; further details will be provided in the market-survey instruction.
