Sources Sought - Control, Gyroscope, A PR1000211017
Summary
AI-generated · Feb 10, 2026Identify potential manufacturers for two NSNs (6615-012444250 and 6615-012444249) related to a control gyroscope component. Approved sources listed are BAE System Controls, Inc. (P/N 478711-02 and 478712-02). Items are to be acquired directly from the actual manufacturer, and engineering source approval by the design control activity is required to maintain quality. The design-control requirements reflect that unique capabilities and data rights reside with the approved sources; an alternate source must qualify under the design-control procedures. If only one source is approved, AMCs 3–5 are valid; if two sources are approved or data is adequate for an alternate-source qualification, AMCs 1–2 become valid.
Respondents should review the NSNs and submit information on capabilities by the indicated response date. If a company seeks to be reviewed and qualified as an Approved Source, they may submit an application package through the DLA Weapons Support Alternate Offer/Source Approval Program. A SAR package must include all technical data to demonstrate ability to manufacture the product to the same or better quality than the OEM. Details and format requirements are described at the DLA Weapons Support Alternate Offers page: https://www.dla.mil/Land-and-Maritime/Business/Selling/Alternate-Offers.
