Soo Locks Generator and Duct Bank - This is a New Source Notice is to notify firms the NAICS Code change from 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction to NAICS 237130 Power and Communication Line and Related Structures Construction. The Old Source Sought Notice was published under Number W911XK24R0004 (see attachment). For the New Solicitation Number is W911XK25RA040. In accordance with FAR Part 10 - Market Research, the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Detroit District is conducting new market research to determine the availability of entities within the market to support the Soo Locks Generator and Duct Bank. Responses will be collected via the attached questionnaire only. Data collected from the responses will become the property of the USACE and will be used to provide a snapshot of how businesses who participated are capable of providing service to provide construction services for a new Duct Bank and Generator new facility. This is NOT a Request for Proposal or Invitation for Bid. The information gathered will be used for market research purposes only.

New feeders will be installed in this route and existing feeder cables will be demolished and removed. This project replaces the existing unreliable feeders which have failed several times in the past.Soo Lock Generator - The work includes construction of a new natural gas fueled back-up generator system along with removal of the existing back-up generators, and associate diesel fuel storage and distribution system. The new generator system includes 6,448 square foot load bearing CMU and brick veneer building to house the generators, switchgear, and control equipment. The new build will be adjacent to the Magazine Street Substation, in the Depot Lot at the conner of Magazine Street and Portage Avenue. This project provides reliable standby power to the Soo Locks Complex.
