Solicitation - BARDA Accelerator Network 2.0 - Supplemental Announcement to Fill Diagnostics and Medical Devices Hub Vacancy 26-BARDA-SOL-BAN_2_1
Summary
AI-generated · Mar 09, 2026BARDA seeks a partner to build the Diagnostics/Medical Devices Hub as part of the BARDA Accelerator Network 2.0, using BARDA’s Other Transaction Authority. The aim is to provide wraparound acceleration services to BARDA-aligned innovators (including entrepreneurship education and access to business, commercialization, and technical expertise), and to enable BARDA to source, review, fund, accelerate, and validate product development and medical countermeasures (MCMs) aligned with BARDA priorities. The effort also includes creating a rapid emergency response infrastructure to fund and accelerate development and validation of MCMs that can be deployed quickly during public health emergencies.
Focus is on diagnostics and medical devices for pathogen-agnostic surveillance, detection, and point-of-care or at-home use, plus devices to improve casualty care, alert to adverse health conditions, simplify sample collection/processing, and protect respiratory health. The Accelerator Hub may operate independently or as a consortium, but one legal entity must be the prime awardee with BARDA, and it may fund or provide services to mission-relevant innovators nationwide regardless of the Hub’s physical location. Submissions are due by 12:00 PM ET on April 20, 2026, with questions due by 12:00 PM ET on April 2, 2026. Terms supersede prior announcements; additional information is in the attached solicitation and at drive.hhs.gov.
The Office of Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA), within the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) seeks to establish a partnership to build the next iteration of the Diagnostics/Medical Devices Hub as part of the BARDA Accelerator Network (BAN 2.0) using BARDA s Other Transaction Authority (OTA). BARDA intends to enter into an Other Transaction Agreement with an organization to provide resources and support for the Diagnostics/Medical Devices focus area: Diagnostics/ Medical Devices Focus on diagnostics and devices to enable pathogen-agnostic surveillance, detection, and diagnosis, especially at point-of-care and at-home settings, and innovative medical devices to improve the quality of casualty care, alert to the potential of an adverse health condition, simplify the collection or processing of testing samples, and protect respiratory health The Accelerator Hub can operate independently or as a consortium of partners, though one legal entity must be identified as the prime awardee to enter into an agreement with BARDA. It is anticipated that the Accelerator Hub will provide funding and/or services to mission-relevant innovators nationally, regardless of the Hub s physical location.
