DESCRIPTION This is a Sources Sought Notice to identify Architectural and Engineering (A&E) firms to provide professional services for the Critical Utilities Infrastructure Revitalization (CUIR), Subproject 1. This is not a solicitation for proposal or quotations and no award will be made from this Notice. Instead, the purpose of this sources sought notice is to identify interested vendors for the upcoming formal solicitation, tentatively planned to be released in Fall 2025. BACKGROUND The purpose of the Critical Utilities Infrastructure Revitalization (CUIR) Project is to modernize utility infrastructure to provide reliable and sustainable operations, enabling SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory (SLAC) to remain mission-ready and enhance the impact of Department of Energy (DOE) scientific programs. Select buildings and electrical infrastructure within the Master Substation located south of Sector 30 of SLAC s Linear Accelerator were installed in the 1960s as part of the original laboratory construction. These existing infrastructure require upgrades and replacement in order to support SLAC s science research today and in the future. PLANNED SCOPE AND DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES SLAC is seeking the services of a qualified Architectural & Engineering (A&E) design firm to complete the scope in the attached Statement of Work (SOW), which includes developing and providing a final design package, Issued for Construction (IFC) set of drawings and specifications, as well as construction cost and schedule estimates. The attached SOW includes the following base and optional scopes: Base Scope Master Substation Expansion Professional Services Optional Scope 1 230kV Transformer Replacement Professional Services Optional Scope 2 Master Substation Expansion Construction Support Optional Scope 3 230kV Transformer Replacement Construction Support The draft SOW, draft Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) and relevant references are provided. Include the local office address, main phone number and main email. Include the firm s DUNS number (DUNS number must be location specific).
