This shall only be posted on the GPE at SAM.gov | Contract Opportunities Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Single Award Contract, to develop a design for a shaft handling fixture to be mounted to the NNSY Scheuerle model of Self-Propelled Modular Transporter(SPMT). The fixture s sole purpose will be for removal and installation of naval ships propulsion shafts. This requirement is for commercial items as defined in FAR 2.101 and will be prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 13.5, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2025-03 and DFARS Change Notice 1/17/2025. It is the responsibility of the contractor to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions.
