This is a Request for Information (RFI) notice with the overal objective of conducting market research in support of preliminary planning for the acquisition of Service Craft and Boats (SCB) Multiple Award Contract (MAC). This RFI seeks to provide industry and interested parties with information that will assist in the understanding of current technical requirements for SCB MAC. This a Special Notice, by the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). NAVSEA is hosting a virtual Industry Day to provide interested respondents with preliminary, high-level information regarding the Government s planning activities for the contemplated Multi-Award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for United States NAVY & Foreign Military Sales aluminum and steel boats. This event is for informational and planning purposes only and is being conducted in accordance with FAR 15.201. It does not constitute a solicitation and does not commit the Government to any contractual actions. All information shared during the Industry Day is pre-decisional, subject to change, and will be superseded by the formal solicitation, once released. Questions and Respondents Engagement The Government will NOT take live questions during the Industry Day session. To ensure consistent handling and equal access to information, respondents may submit written questions after the Industry Day. Respondents must use the standardized questionnaire submission template (Industry- Questionnaire) attached to this posting. Questions not submitted using the template may be returned without action. Respondents are responsible for properly marking and clearly identifying proprietary information or trade secrets contained within their response. The Government will not be liable for or suffer any consequential damages for any proprietary information not properly marked and clearly identified. Information provided shall be treated as Business Sensitive and will not be shared outside of Government activities and agencies without the permission of the provider. Please do not provide classified information or use the marking CONFIDENTIAL as this marking is considered classified by the Government which would require special handling of the information.
