SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS The DLA AVIATION is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support this requirement for NSN 2840-01-442-9118: SEAL, METALLIC, AIRCRAFT. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. An Unrestricted solicitation will be issued to establish an Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC) for NSN 2840-01-442-9118, a SEAL, METALLIC, AIRCRAFT. The award will be for a 5-year base period. The Estimated Annual Quantity (EAQ) is 400 EACH. Production units will be FOB: Destination; Inspection /Acceptance: Origin. Item is critical and deemed an Air Force Critical Safety Item. Contractor First Article Testing and Export Control apply. Surge applies with MWR = 15 each. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302.
