Summary

AI-generated · Jun 06, 2026

Market research to plan an upcoming requirement that combines manual automotive cleaning facility/repair services with wash rack commodities. This is not a solicitation, and no quotes or pricing proposals are requested at this time. The government seeks industry feedback on whether a single prime contractor can both perform certified maintenance/repair services (per a draft PWS) and procure/supply all specified wash rack commodities, or whether the work should be split into separate service and commodity procurements. It also asks for input on industry norms about whether one company typically handles both service delivery and commodity procurement.

Responses should address whether the proposed NAICS classification is appropriate, and include the following: your company name, primary point of contact (name, email, phone), Cage Code and UEI, capabilities to perform the work or hire qualified personnel/subcontractors, applicable business size and certifications (e.g., SBA programs), and any GSA contract numbers if available. Industry partners are encouraged to submit clarifying questions about the draft PWS and commodity list. All feedback will be used to refine the Government’s requirements. Questions should be submitted to the contracting office handling this notice, and the Q&A will be posted prior to the announcement closing.

This Request for Information (RFI) is issued solely for market research and planning purposes. This is not a solicitation, and no quotes or pricing proposals are requested or will be accepted at this time. The Government is seeking information from industry providers to shape its acquisition strategy for an upcoming requirement encompassing both manual automotive cleaning facility/repair services and associated wash rack commodities. Specifically, the Government is seeking industry feedback on the feasibility of a single-award solution versus a split acquisition strategy. Please address the following questions in your response: 1. Single-Source Capability: Can a single prime contractor feasibly provide both the certified maintenance/repair services (draft PWS) and procure/supply all the specified wash rack commodities (Excel document)? 2. Industry Norms: Is it more standard within this industry for a single company to manage both the service execution and commodity procurement, or is it typically executed by separating the service contract from the commodity procurement? 3. Is the proposed North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) (811310) appropriate? 4. In addition to the above, the following information is requested from interested offerors: Business Name Point of contact name, email, and telephone number. Cage Code and UEI number Capabilities to perform and/or hire qualified personnel/subcontractors for this type of acquisition Applicable business size i.e. large business, small business, SBA Certified 8(a) Program Participant, SBA Certified HUB Zone, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Business, Woman Owned Small Business GSA contract number, if available Industry partners are highly encouraged to submit clarifying questions regarding the draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) and the commodity list. All feedback, capabilities statements, and questions will be used strictly to refine the Government's requirements for this project. Questions regarding this potential requirement are due by Wednesday, 17 June. Questions and answers will be posted prior to announcement closing. All questions and responses shall be submitted to the Contract Specialist and Contracting Officer identified in this notice.
