Summary

AI-generated · Aug 24, 2025

Capabilities that support Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (CBRND) protection are being sought. The focus is on technologies for next-generation protective gear and contamination mitigation, including: colorimetric or stimuli-responsive indicators that visibly show contamination or suit lifetime (early to mid-TRL); wearable sensors integrated into a suit to communicate with other CBRN sensors and components (early TRL); personal wearable cooling systems (e.g., fans or dehumidifying devices) to improve protection and comfort in tactical environments (early TRL).

Also of interest are self-healing polymers to enable mission continuation after a suit-related incident (early TRL) and quick, tactical repair technologies to support continued missions (early- to mid-TRL). The program invites industry to engage; interested parties should sign up for a meeting slot via the JETT registration process.

CBD RFI JPEO-CBRND s Joint Project Manager for CBRN Protection Do you have a capability that enables Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (CBRND)? JPM CBRN Protection, a component of the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (JPEO-CBRND) develops, fields and sustains CBRN protection and mitigation capabilities for the warfighter and the Nation. This includes developing next-generation physical protection capabilities, like masks and suits, that reduce physiological burden and enhance protection against threats. JPM CBRN Protection also develops contamination mitigation technologies, including decontamination systems, to significantly decrease the time and materials required to decontaminate personnel and equipment. If you have a capability or technology in the following relevant areas: Technologies to indicate contamination or suit lifetime, for example, colorimetric or other stimuli-responsive technologies to visually show the user that they are slimed, and how much time they have left (early- to mid-TRL) Wearable sensors that can be integrated within a suit to enable communication with sensors and other components of CBRN or other incidents (early TRL) Personal, wearable cooling systems like fans or dehumidifying systems to enable improved protection-comfort trade space in a tactical environment (early TRL) Self-healing polymers to enable mission continuation after an incident to one's suit, also applies to COLPRO (early TRL) Quick, tactical repair technologies to enable mission continuation after an incident to one's suit, also applies to COLPRO (early- to mid-TRL) We d like to meet with you. Please visit the JETT registration page to sign up for a time slot to meet with us at https://jacks.jpeocbrnd.army.mil/JETT
