Description The Defense Logistics Agency, AWB, Robins AFB intends to award a single contract effort for the manufacture of the Multipurpose Display (MPD) Control Panel Assembly, Part Number PC82040-4, NSN 1290-0l-395-2696FX in support of the F-15E model to one of the approved sources below. ITEM DESCRIPTION The Control Panel is installed on the F-15E MPD; the MPD is considered the Next Higher Assembly (NHA). There are four MPDs installed in each aircraft. The Control Panel must meet power, function, and physical requirements in accordance with Kaiser Electronics (now Rockwell Collins) Drawing PC82040 and applicable USAF technical orders. These requirements are for a tactical aircraft display and include environmental and optical performance parameters that are not part of any commercial display system. The Control Panel allows pilot interaction with the system by means of push buttons. In addition, continuous and initiated built-in test (BIT) status of the system is also displayed on the Control Panel. The MPD is presently in service in the F-15E model. The F-15E is currently used by ACC, USAFE, and AFMC. lmpediment to Competition The Control Panel has been purchased from Symbolic Displays Inc., Transicoil LLC, and Rockwell Collins historically. The Government does not own any data, drawings, schematics, or any other releasable technical data in support of this requirement. Any vendor that has not produced this product in the last 36 months will be required to perform first article testing (FAT). According to the Source Control Drawing PC82040, the part must be obtained from either Rockwell Collins Aerospace, Symbolic Displays Inc. or Transicoil LLC. Rockwell Collins Aerospace, Symbolic Displays Inc. and Transicoil LLC are the only known sources with adequate knowledge of the F15E Control Panel Assembly performance requirements and possession of the required technical data and capabilities needed to produce this item and ensure compatibility of the equipment. INTEREST The DLA/AWB Contracting Office intends to award a single contract effort for the manufacture of the Multipurpose Display (MPD) Control Panel Assembly, Part Number PC82040-4, NSN 1290-01-395-2696FX in support of the F-15E model to one of the approved sources below: Rockwell Collins Aerospace CAGE: 84T51 Symbolic Displays, Inc CAGE: 19565 Transicoil LLC CAGE: 82686.
